It is about seeing an actor we like playing a character we have enjoyed in a story that feels familiar. It is generally pretty fun to watch.

Asteroid City, hits all the notes a Wes Anderson aficionado would hope for, and then a few extra on top of that.

It is consistently enjoyable, smart in its ridiculousness and I laughed a lot.

It is certainly not a terrible experience. Still, it is hard to recommend it when Pixar has done so much better, so many times.

It feels like the filmmakers watched a couple of eight-year-old boys play with their toys, then adapted it into a movie.

Even when it gets frustrating, Sanctuary is intriguing.

While it obviously doesn’t have the novelty of the original, it builds on its gorgeous world in clever and creative ways.

A well-written, well-acted, intelligent, funny movie about people trying to do their best, while being unsure if there’s a point.

While this definitely doesn’t fall into the excellent category, it is a thoughtful adult drama, with a tremendous performance at its center.

There are flashes of the twisty fun this could have been here and there, but the result is lazy, sloppily written and surprisingly dull.
