The movie’s charm is partially due to the goofy set-pieces. But it is predominantly due to the idea of a bear doing lots of cocaine.

The comedy here feels out of place considering that our heroes are facing an enemy who could lead to the end of all life.

The result does not even come close to living up to the quality of previous Marlowe adventures, turning out to be one of his lesser cases,

Somebody I Used to Know isn’t a great entry in its subgenre, yet it is a pleasant one because of Allison Brie.

Shyamalan makes exciting movies when he gets out of his own way. He mostly does so this time.

It features an excellent lead performance and does justice to the subtle emotions of its moving story.

Missing may not be fully original, but its pacing and occasionally ingenious use of technology make for a decently-crafted thriller.

I found it to be moving, heartfelt and sympathetic, as well as sad. Brendan Fraser is worthy of every ounce of praise.

This is a decent, ultimately forgettable, whodunit, pretty fitting for an early January streaming release.

The result is bold, uneven, frustrating and entertaining. It may not be great but, since it is so many other fun things, does it need to be.
