No Sudden Move is a smart, crafty, entertaining thriller with an excellent cast.

Even though it doesn’t ultimately work, this is entertaining and suspenseful, with an intriguing take on its subject matter.

When I think of its pieces, Good on Paper seems like an easy recommendation. Yet the whole isn’t as good as the sum of its best parts.

While it certainly belongs on the lower end of the studio’s filmography, it is still amusing and generally enjoyable.

It is hard for me to think of a word that describes In the Heights better than “joyous.” Maybe “celebratory?”

This is the rare case of a thriller where I was less interested in the character moments and more interested in the action.

It is sweet and funny, with a charming central relationship and a message it delivers organically.

The result is uneven, but generally fun. If you can tolerate Snyder’s trademarks, you will probably enjoy yourself.

There is little in the way of creativity or passion. However, Jolie is good enough to carry the movie. I wish she had been allowed to.

It keeps the viewer at arm’s length, making this an occasionally interesting exercise, rather than a compelling exploration of this material
