The movie’s charm is partially due to the goofy set-pieces. But it is predominantly due to the idea of a bear doing lots of cocaine.

Shyamalan makes exciting movies when he gets out of his own way. He mostly does so this time.

Missing may not be fully original, but its pacing and occasionally ingenious use of technology make for a decently-crafted thriller.

It aims high and, though it doesn’t quite hit its mark, it still lands on “pretty good.”

If it had stuck the landing that would have made up for at least some of its shortcomings. Alas, it does not.

Beast is a thriller that only intermittently thrills, making it unsuccessful at its main aim.

Though the twists and turns aren’t necessarily surprising, they are set up so well that the tension builds to a satisfying series of payoffs

Take away any personality and you have the story of a guy running around Greece while bleeding. It is about as entertaining as it sounds.

No Sudden Move is a smart, crafty, entertaining thriller with an excellent cast.
