It may not work, but does it have to when enjoyment can be had from seeing how crazy it looks when it doesn’t?

Most of all, it is pretty funny, never being so silly that its themes get overwhelmed, while also never forgetting that it is a comedy centering around a ridiculous situation.

it just sits there on the screen, with no resolution, no insight, nothing to say beyond how messed up everything is. There is some good stuff here, yet it ultimately isn’t worth the trouble.

It isn’t actively bad, yet there is absolutely nothing compelling about it.

A powerful performance from Danielle Deadwyler lifts this as high as it goes, but it seems to forget its purpose along the way, stumbling toward a blood-soaked anticlimax.

It is competently made, decently paced and has a handful of effective action sequences. In short, it is the definition of okay. It will probably give audiences what they expect, if not what they’re hoping for.

It is sad, intense, slow-moving, well-acted and, too often, dramatically stilted.

Even though it does everything you expect, and nothing you don’t, it still kind of works due to some well-filmed racing action and the always welcome charisma of Brad Pitt.

It is an enjoyable movie, entertaining and well-made. They can’t all be classics. Sometimes you just need something that is a pleasant use of an hour-and-a-half.

it is smart, charming and adult in the way the characters talk about their fears and insecurities, specifically surrounding relationships.
