While ambition can be welcome, sometimes going back to the classics feels oddly fresh. That is definitely the case here.

As much as I enjoyed the first one, this is even better.

I liked it, yet it feels like it could’ve been a lot more.

It feels like the filmmakers watched a couple of eight-year-old boys play with their toys, then adapted it into a movie.

At the story level, this is a success. Unfortunately, it fails at most other levels.

Wachowski has made a commentary on modern entertainment that happens to be in a sequel that sort of builds on franchise mythology.

It is a long, dull slog through cliché after cliché, with obvious setups, poorly executed payoffs and loud noises in place of tension.

This is the rare case of a thriller where I was less interested in the character moments and more interested in the action.
