Somehow, the creators of Spider-Man: No Way Home make all the other Spider-Man movies feel like set-up for this.

It is like watching a horror movie where all of the wounds are internal.

This new entry isn’t a reboot so much as a sequel/tribute to the original. It certainly works in that sense, and has some charms of its own.

It is both an appealing crowd-pleaser and a timely look at how hatred can tear a country apart.

Ridley Scott may be known more for action and sci-fi, but he proves that he can make an epic of ideas, rather than merely one of spectacle.

It is quite compelling in the moment, yet Lamb didn’t say as much as it tried to. Still, I was consistently engaged.

If you have seen any of Craig’s other Bonds, you’ll have a decent idea of what you are in for here.

It is ridiculous, though that didn’t bother me, maybe because I wanted to see where Ducournau was going to take things next.

It only wants to be uplifting and celebratory. Since it succeeds at those things, it doesn’t need to be anything else.
