The result is thoroughly okay and instantly forgettable.

The movie’s charm is partially due to the goofy set-pieces. But it is predominantly due to the idea of a bear doing lots of cocaine.

Somebody I Used to Know isn’t a great entry in its subgenre, yet it is a pleasant one because of Allison Brie.

This definitely feels like a movie that will only become richer and more effecting upon repeat viewings.

The moments that work come from the incredible cast, who are stranded in a screenplay that fails as comedy, mystery, history and commentary.

The screenplay is honest, smart and very funny.

Sadly, far too often, the style prevents the substance from coming through.

This is a tremendously clever spin on the slasher genre.

While it may be overstuffed, Novak’s ambition is also part of why Vengeance is so intriguing.

The good outweighs the bad enough for this to be a fun watch.
